Summer Meeting
The Summer Meeting was held in windy, but fine, weather at Strathmore on Thursday 24th June. The course was in magnificent condition, with wider than usual fairways and relatively fast, smooth running greens. Not all players took advantage of this, but the scores on the whole did reflect the near perfect golfing conditions.
Brian Alexander is to be congratulated on winning the scratch division, and Joe Springett the handicap. They will be presented with the Jameson Jug and Pullar Jug respectively at the Annual Dinner.

Scratch Division
4th Place - Andrew Christie 79
3rd Place - Richard Hally 79 bih
2nd Place - David Begbie 75
1st Place - Brian Alexander 75 bih.
The Hon. Secretary was greatly amused to have found a ball in the rough to the right of the 14th fairway. It bore the logo of Moortown Golf Club, one of the courses played during the annual outing to Yorkshire this year. Coincidence, or one of ours, Ewan?
